Midway Point in the Ball Season

We are getting ready to start the second half of the league schedule. There have been a few rain showers and snow flurries that caused teams to postpone games. If you need to make them up, now is a good time.

The Executive are passing out Coupon Booklets for teams to sell. All of the proceeds will go to help buy new equipment and assist with our year-end tournament. We are not doing the cruise raffle this year and have replaced it with the Coupon Booklets. Each team is being asked to sell 30 books and each Coupon Booklet is $10.

To help fund-raise for our league there will be a car wash on May 24th, 10- 3pm at Tsainko Village Mall. Without fund-raising we would have to increase the cost of registration.

We want to make sure that safety is our first priority. One of our players broke his leg from getting slid in to when he was covering second base. Coaches must remind their players to straddle the bases in order to help prevent injuries. We also recommend that coaches have each player´s emergency contact phone numbers written into the back of their score books so they are able to contact parents if necessary.

Good Luck to all the teams heading into week six of our 10 week schedule!
