2008 League Start-up

The Executive met with the league coaches to prepare for the start of the 2008 season. All of the teams were picked and fastpich is going to start on April 7th, 2008.

It´s time once again to start the ball season and get ready for games to begin next week.  The District of Sechelt is preparing the ball fields and have installed break-away bases, leveled out the diamond at Hackett Park, fixed up the in-fields and will also have the diamonds in excellent shape for us to start. They are also providing keys to store the bases at Kinnikinnick and Hackett Parks.

All of the teams will receive new First Aid kits when they pick up their equipment, and we are asked to ensure that SAFETY is our FIRST priority for everyone playing and watching the games.

We have all adult umpires for our senior Bantam division and we have arranged for many of our older players to umpire the younger divisions. Coaches must schedule practice times through Sid Quinn at 604.885.4326 to ensure times do not conflict with other teams who are already scheduled.

The SFU Baseball Clinic will be held on May 2, 3rd and 4th and we are asking all coaches to hand in the Clinic registration sign-up sheets along with their Jersey list to Lucy´s by April 14th, 2008.

The Executive want to wish all of the teams good luck and ensure that all of our players have fun during the 2008 season!
