Weather Holds For Week One

The weather cooperated for the first week of the 2006 baseball season.  Some of the players are meeting new friends and others are getting acquainted with former team mates. The teams are all off to a good start having two weeks of practise to prepare for the start of league play.

The league executive has made arrangements for Mike Rennie and the entire SFU Women´s Fastball team to put on a clinic May 5-7th in Sechelt.  This promises to be one of the best and largest fastball clinics ever held on the Sunshine Coast. Everyone on the coast ages 11-18 will be able to attend and the Executive will be getting registration forms out within the next week. We are still looking for more corporate sponsors to keep the costs of the clinic affordable.

We thank everyone who came out to the umpire clinic training to help assist in this years´ games. Players are reminded to wear their team sponsor´s ball caps while playing and keep those jerseys tucked in when batting.

Good Luck to all the teams in 2 of the baseball season!
