AGM Meetng Feb 9th, 2006

The Sechelt Minor Softball Association held its Annual General Meeting on Feb 9th, 2006 at the Seaside Centre Building in Sechelt. We would like to see more parents get involved this year as board members in order to assist with the league operations. This will help ensure that our softball league has continuity and a good handle on things as a couple board members have indicated they will be stepping down after this year We also disccused a number of highlights from the 2005 season. Some of the things implemented were:

NCCP coach training and more coach support;
a very successful clinic held with Mike Rennie of Simon Fraser University with over 100 kids participating;
continued fundraising through car washes and raffles; website created with on-line registration; grant funding obtained; travel team participated in tournaments and was very much enjoyed by the players;
registration trends charted.
